It sucked me in the same way the Twilight series did. I'll have to ponder that for a while, maybe.

I really, really want a satisfying ending when I read. So the "just stopped" endings aren't my cup of tea. Thinking back to all the story threads: the main one was mostly resolved.

In any case, I hope Ms. Moning has a nice long run with her publisher.

I'm reminded of a pretty good book I read, the first in a series, that just stopped. My "Is this Manipulation?" radar whipped up and I simply refused to buy any more in the series. I'll never know how it ended.

Nah-ner, nah-ner, nah-ner.

And, I've heard more than once about a series that began and was suddenly dropped by the publisher. I'm sorry. Not fair to the reader to not close at least the major plot threads in each and every book.
